About the Author

Thrown into one of life’s greatest challenges at just eleven years of age, José F. Nodar’s story began in Havana, Cuba. The Cuban Revolution forced him to board a plane alone, taking him to an orphanage in the small town of Washington, Georgia, in the United States. He would not be reunited with his parents until he was eighteen years old, by which time he had already graduated from high school in Atlanta.

José studied Business Administration at Georgia State University before building a successful career in the financial sector. He began at First National Bank of Atlanta (now Wells Fargo) and later worked as a project manager in financial consulting. His career took him across the United States, Europe, and Australia, providing a wealth of experiences that would later influence his writing.

It was in Camden, New South Wales, that José discovered a new passion. Joining a local writers’ group awakened his creative side and inspired him to write his first novel. Soon afterwards, Danny Monk was born—the first of many memorable characters to inhabit the pages of his stories.

Yet José’s life extends far beyond writing. When he is not crafting fresh stories, he can often be found people-watching at a local shopping centre, listening to conversations and collecting the minor details that later become characters, scenes, and entire novels. He is an avid reader, enjoys long walks around Spring Farm, New South Wales, and finds inspiration in the everyday moments that shape the human experience.

Today, José F. Nodar is the author of many novels and stories exploring love, loss, hope, friendship, and the remarkable ability of people to reinvent themselves. His work combines humour, heart, and humanity, reminding readers that even after life’s most difficult moments, there is always the possibility of a new beginning.
